Magical Midfielder

Few players are born with an inborn talent of playing well and creating goal scoring chances for the team. One such player who was born in Argentina and has played several matches for the Argentinian National team is Cambiasso. Presently playing for the Greek Champions Olympiakos, Cambiasso has played in several major leagues in the world including the Italian league and the English Premier league. He is the only Argentinian player with most honours, even bettering the record of his countryman Di Stefano. Cambiasso had represented his country in the 2007 and had won the FIFA World Youth Championship in the same year. and Copa-America in 2011.
When he was young, he started his career with the Argentianian team Argentinos Juniors in the year 1995. After that he moved to Real Madrid, where later on in his senior years he would be playing as a senior player. He had joined Real Madrid as a senior player in 2002 and played there for two years. But after his contract expired in the year 2004 he joined Inter Milan. It is during his time span at Inter Milan that he became a world famous midfielder. He had played 315 matches for them scoring 41 goals and creating many assists for his teammates. In his first season itself he had won the Coppa Italia. He had won the Seria A competition with Inter Milan for five times. He also contributed to Inter’s Champions League win in the year 2010 by scoring a brace along with his then teammate Zlatan Ibrahamovic. In the year 2010, he had also won the FIFA Club World Cup with Inter Milan.
Coming to his style of football it can be said that he is a versatile and competitive player who has also played in the defensive roles (besides being a midfielder) and has been consistently performing for the teams he had played in. Therefore he is a reliable asset for the coaches in the teams he had played in. He is an attack minded midfielder whose forward runs have often helped his teams in distress. While playing for Inter Milan, he was always the one midfielder whom the then coach Jose Mourinho had given regular starts. He has always been Mourinho’s favourite during his managerial period at Inter. Mourinho had said that Cambiasso is the “heartbeat of” his Inter Milan team. This shows the coach’s trust on the player’s abilities.
During his stay at England while playing for Leicester city in the 2014-2015 season, he had played 33 matches for them while scoring five goals for them. He was so successful as a player in England that he became the Player of the Season for Leicester in the only season he played. Interestingly he had scored for Leicester in the penultimate match in the league in the 2014-2015 season.

In 2015 Cambiasso had signed a deal with Olympiakos. It was a free transfer from Leicester City. Since joining the new club he has played already more than ten matches and had also scored a goal. He has taken well with the Olympiakos team management and has settled well in Greece.

Splendid Skills

What makes a footballer special? What are the qualities which contribute to the resume of a player so that he is chosen by different teams? How can a player be different from others? All these questions could be answered by one single word- Skills. The football skills lately have become an important aspect in a player’s career. Not only does a player need to have good strength and energy level, he also needs to have a fair amount of skills in order to show that he is slightly different from others in a positive manner. His skills would be useful to a coach for being chosen to play on a specific day, against a specific team. A skillful player also assures the coach of the fact that he has another added incentive in his team; another potential threat for the other teams.
Usually a skillful player has a bright career in football. Examples can be seen in several English players including Cantona and Beckham. If the player proves his skill in a match and wins the match for the team, he comes to the limelight of several other clubs. These clubs could spend the money in buying such a skillful player in order to increase their chances of getting a title in the next season. With the added skill of a player, even the other teammates could bank upon in case of a moment of submissiveness in a game (when they are trying their best but are not able to score goals). At this moment, they bank upon the most skillful player in their team to get some kind of magic from him. This changes the whole complexion of the game and adds an extra energy to the team.
In the past, we had noticed how players like Pele or Maradona could take on four or five defensive players (and the goalkeeper) to score a stunning goal. They are those gems of football who have brought glory to their clubs and nation both. Their teammates would even today, chant about their glory while talking about the past. Maradona’s skills against the teams of Belgium and England, in the 1986 World Cup is worth praising even now. The silky touches of these players are something worth seeing. It would be a treat for the eyes.
In the present generation, players like Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar are in the spotlight with their high level skills in the game of football. People find it very difficult to choose between them. The matches which they play could surprise us with any small skills of theirs which they show against the players of their opponent teams. It is with their  strength and their speed that they match their skills with. When the three combine, we find it very difficult to choose the best among the three. It is often said that the knuckleball effect in Ronaldo’s free kick makes it very difficult for the goalkeepers to protect.
Not everyone could become a skillful player but if one tries their best to gain more skills, he could master those skills in no time and could become the next superstar in world football.

Wow, it’s a goal

What is the only thing that makes the game of football very interesting and overwhelming? What makes the game so irresistible that people want to forget about all their doubts and worries and go for watching the game either on TV or to the ground? Of course it is the goal that is scored in the matches being played. It is the goal which can change the whole complexion of the game. A goal can bring joy or sorrow to a spectator in an instant and therefore it acts as the turning point of the football match.

Last Minute Goal
When a goal in scored in the dying seconds of the match, it is known as the last minute goal. Very often it changes the whole complexion of the game when a team scoring the penultimate goal. The importance of the last minute goal lies in the fact that the team scoring the goal may lead to equalize the scores in the match. It may also be such that the team scoring the last minute goal can win the match (in the injury time of the game).
It is the coach who becomes the happiest to see his team score the winning goal in the dying seconds of the match.

First half goals
The teams who score the goals in the first half of the game, ends the first 45 minutes with confidence because of their scoring. This gives them the confidence to do well in the second half. Also in a match, there may be many goals in the first half itself. In that case, the team scoring the last goal (in the half) seems to go inside the dressing room with slightly more confidence. But an equal number of goals in the first half makes the game interesting and suspense moves over the whole stadium keeping the spectators in awe (as they think about the upcoming result).
This is the reason that the coach of every team ask their players to try their best in trying to score first half goals. It also gives the coach as respite from planning a different strategy for the match

Goal Difference
This concept in the game of football is important in the context of the game. Usually in several competitions, there are two rounds of a match being played by the two teams (each team plays a home match). The importance of goal difference lies in the fact that the team having the most number of goals, qualifies to the next round of the competition. Therefore the teams don’t take it lightly.

It is the goals which gives a direction to the game and sets up challenges for both the players and the coach. After the team concedes a goal, the coach is often seen taking a second strategy (which every coach usually plans for every game). The football match which ends in a goalless draw is not seen well by the spectators as they come to the stadium expecting a goal.

The game of Football

It is said that Football not only builds character but also eliminates negative ones. It involves a team to play this game and score goals (which is the ultimate goal in this game). This game requires a team spirit and a brilliant strategy to play this game. Therefore, in this game, every team is required to have a coach in order to increase their performance level and win most of the games they play.
It is in the eighteenth century that sports club dedicated to play the game of football.
Rules
There are seventeen rules that the players should follow in order to play the game fairly. These rules were formulated by highest governing body of football in the world named FIFA. The game is managed by a referee, who runs within the field along with the players to see whether the game is played with the right spirit. This referee is the one who blows the whistle in order to stop the game (during a foul or when he sees an injury to the head of a player. There are also two other referees on each side of the field to support the referee. These two are essential in order to see whether a player is offside or not. They also have the power to inform the main referee about the fouls committed on field (in case the referee misses).

But at present, in the elite football leagues (all over the world), here are two referees who stays close to the two goalposts on each side of the field, in order to see whether there are any fouls committed by the players within the penalty boxes during the game. Thus, FIFA has tried to make the game flawless so that neither the players nor the supporters could blame the referees against any decision given by them (during the match).

Extra Time
There is a rule which is followed in the football world when two teams fail to score against each other in the ninety minutes (of the match). If the game has to decide which team has to go to the next round, the referee asks the teams to play an extra thirty minutes (fifteen minutes each half). The one who scores the maximum number of goals, wins the match.

Golden goal
If a football match ends with both teams failing to score against each other then there is a rule which has to be followed. This rule states that when a game is restarted (after the normal time and extra time is played), the team who scores the first goal wins the match automatically.

If one wants to watch the game where there is an excitement for the whole ninety minutes, they must watch the game of football. The most thrilling experience one would have when one visits the game on field and watch the game live. Not only its enthralling but also it involves a suspense as it is said in football that one can never expect the game to be over till the final whistle blows. Things can change in a moment in the game of football.
