Premier
League of 2015/16 season is to enter into its 9th week. The domestic
leagues in Europe are paused due to UEFA Champions League qualification matches
as well as European Leagues from time to time. After 8 weeks of English Premier
League, Chelsea have failed to drive themselves back from the brink of doomsday.
They have surprisingly a nightmarish start to this season. They have not fared
well even in the Champions league either and got a beating during their away
match with Porto. Let us do a quick check on the latest Premier League results.
Chelsea bows to Saints
Chelsea
now have collection of only eight points out of maximum 24 points. Last week,
they were visited by Southampton but the home crowd did not change their fate.
They fell miserably to the visitors following a 3-1 result. The hosts never
seemed to be at ease and the travelling side capitalized on their shaky
opponents.
Gunners blow Man U away
Manchester
United was humiliated by Arsenal in the 8th week. The Gunners won as
a far better side and the Red Devils, truly speaking, were reduced to rabbles. It
took Arsenal just 20 minutes to score three goals, none of which was responded
by Louis Van Gaal’s side. Man U never seemed to be in their elements whereas
Arsene Wenger’s team brilliantly took the energy out of their rivals. Manager
Wenger was frustrated over his team’s last few performances but surely got an
energetic boost after his boys came off victorious in an emphatic fashion.
Reds draw with Toffees
That
sharing of points cost Brendan Rodgers his managerial job at Anfield. He was
immediately sacked and now former Borussia Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp has
been announced as the new coach for the Reds. The German has an uphill task to
complete and is likely to approach his former club to capture some high-profile
players during winter transfer window. The Toffees played like a better side in
the match.
Other Results
Tottenham
Hotspur and Swansea
City shared pointes between them. The match ended in a 2-0 truce. In a
word, Premier League results are good for some heavyweights.
